Hakkında

Sulawesi Toraja coffee is grown in the remote Tana Toraja and Enrekang highlands of South Sulawesi, an isolated mountainous region famous for its elaborate funeral traditions and distinctive tongkonan architecture. The high altitude and heavy rainfall create a lush growing environment, while the wet-hull processing imparts a characteristic smooth, low-acid profile. Toraja coffees are known for their velvety body, muted sweetness, and complex flavors of dark chocolate, warm spice, and dried fruit with subtle earthy undertones. The region's geographic isolation has preserved traditional farming and processing practices. Sulawesi Toraja commands a loyal following among roasters seeking an Indonesian profile that balances Sumatran earthiness with greater sweetness and clarity.
