소개

Boquete is one of the world's most prestigious coffee origins, located on the slopes of Volcán Barú, Panama's highest peak, in the Chiriquí province. The region gained global fame when Hacienda La Esmeralda's Geisha lot shattered auction price records in 2004, establishing Panama as a top-tier specialty origin. Boquete's unique microclimate, where Pacific and Caribbean weather systems collide, produces persistent cloud cover and misty conditions that slow cherry ripening dramatically. The volcanic soils contribute mineral richness and excellent drainage at elevations reaching 1,800 meters. Boquete Geisha coffees are celebrated for their extraordinary floral aromatics, jasmine and bergamot notes, and silky, tea-like body that has redefined specialty coffee.
