Papua New Guinea produces high-quality Arabica coffee in the rugged highlands of the Eastern Highlands, Western Highlands, and Simbu provinces at elevations between 1,300 and 1,900 meters. Much of the production comes from smallholder gardens using organic methods by default. PNG coffees are noted for their medium body, pleasant acidity, and complex earthy sweetness with tropical fruit and herbal undertones.
