Starmaya

Starmaya is an F1 hybrid developed by CIRAD, ECOM, and World Coffee Research, using a male-sterile Sarchimor line to enable hybrid seed production at commercial scale. This innovation solves the traditional challenge of F1 hybrid propagation. Starmaya has performed impressively in cup quality evaluations, rivaling Bourbon-quality lots, with sweet complexity, balanced acidity, and fruity notes.
