Hakkında

Coorg, or Kodagu, is India's largest coffee-producing district, nestled in the mist-covered hills of southern Karnataka's Western Ghats. The district produces over one-third of India's total coffee output, primarily Robusta at lower elevations and Arabica in the higher reaches. Coorg coffees display a smooth, medium body with gentle acidity and flavors of dark chocolate, spice, and earthy tobacco. The region's dense shade canopy of jackfruit, silver oak, and rosewood trees creates a biodiversity-rich ecosystem. Coorg's estate culture, established during British colonial times, maintains well-organized production and processing infrastructure that supports consistent quality across large volumes.
