Jimma is one of Ethiopia's largest commercial coffee-producing zones, historically serving as the country's primary coffee trading hub. Jimma coffees tend toward earthy, herbal, and spicy profiles with moderate body and lower acidity than eastern Ethiopian origins. The region processes significant volumes through both washed and natural methods, supplying domestic consumption and export markets alike. Jimma's coffee infrastructure and auction facilities make it a critical node in Ethiopia's coffee supply chain.
