F1 Hybrid
概要
F1 Hybrids are first-generation crosses between genetically distant Arabica parents, combining hybrid vigor (heterosis) with disease resistance and superior cup quality. Developed by CIRAD, WCR, and national research institutes, named varieties include Centroamericano (H1), Starmaya, and others in development. F1 Hybrids can outperform both parents in yield and cup quality, but traditionally required vegetative propagation, limiting adoption until recent seed-based innovations.
