Coffee Types & Grading
Excelsa
A variety of Coffea liberica (sometimes classified as Coffea excelsa) grown mainly in Southeast Asia, valued for its tart, fruity, and complex flavor. Excelsa is often used as a blending component to add depth.
詳細分析
Excelsa grows as a tall tree reaching up to 15 meters and produces small, elongated cherries. Its cup profile bridges the bright acidity of Arabica and the body of Robusta, with distinctive dark-fruit and savory notes. Though it accounts for less than 2% of world production, Excelsa is gaining niche interest among specialty roasters seeking unconventional taste experiences.
