SL28
परिचय
SL28 was selected in the 1930s at Scott Agricultural Laboratories in Kenya from a drought-resistant Tanganyika cultivar. It has become synonymous with the best Kenyan coffee, producing intensely complex cups with bold blackcurrant and citrus fruit acidity, full body, and a winey finish. Despite high susceptibility to coffee berry disease and leaf rust, SL28 remains widely planted in Kenya for its unmatched cup quality.
रोग प्रतिरोध
Susceptible to coffee leaf rust and coffee berry disease. Despite vulnerability, retained in Kenya for exceptional cup quality. Often intercropped with resistant varieties as risk management; no resistance breeding pursued.
