Wush Wush is an Ethiopian landrace named after a town in the Kaffa Zone, near the ancestral home of Arabica, and it is now also grown in Colombia, where it has earned specialty recognition. The cup is delicately complex, carrying floral jasmine notes, tropical fruit, a bright acidity and a tea-like elegance that has invited comparison with Geisha. Yields are low and quality is rated excellent, produced between roughly 1,500 and 2,000 metres. Published data on its disease resistance is limited; as a Kaffa Zone landrace it likely holds some genetic diversity for tolerance, though no formal resistance has been documented, and Colombian plantings are managed with altitude above 1,500 metres.
