Icatu
À propos
Icatu is a Brazilian hybrid descended from a cross between Coffea canephora (Robusta) and Mundo Novo, backcrossed multiple times to Arabica. Developed by IAC, it combines disease resistance and vigor from Robusta with Arabica cup quality. Available in both red and yellow cherry variants, Icatu is valued for its adaptability and productivity, producing a full-bodied cup with moderate acidity.
Résistance aux maladies
Good resistance to coffee leaf rust from Robusta (Coffea canephora) parentage introduced via Mundo Novo crosses at IAC. Broader disease tolerance than pure Arabica; moderate susceptibility to coffee berry disease remains.
