Acerca de

Huye district in southern Rwanda has become synonymous with some of the country's finest specialty coffees, anchored by the Huye Mountain washing station that has won multiple international awards. The region's high elevation, cool temperatures, and deep red laterite soils create conditions that favor slow cherry development and concentrated flavors. Huye coffees display remarkable clarity with bright, juicy acidity and flavors of blackberry, lime, and caramel with a clean, lingering finish. The district's focus on meticulous wet processing and careful lot separation has set quality benchmarks for the entire Rwandan coffee sector. Huye represents the best of Rwanda's post-conflict coffee renaissance and its ambition to compete with the world's finest origins.
