Sarchimor

Sarchimor is a cross between Villa Sarchi and Timor Hybrid, combining Costa Rican Bourbon genetics with disease resistance. Developed in the 1960s-70s, Sarchimor lines tend to produce better cup quality than Catimors at equivalent altitudes, particularly when grown above 1,200 meters. The cup profile is clean with medium body, moderate acidity, and sweet chocolate notes.

Strong resistance to coffee leaf rust from Timor Hybrid genetics; generally better cup quality than Catimor at altitude. Moderate resistance to coffee berry disease; forms the basis of improved varieties like Marsellesa and Centroamericano.
