Flavor & Cupping

Uniformity

A cupping attribute measuring consistency across five cups from the same sample, evaluating whether each cup tastes identical. High uniformity indicates well-controlled harvesting, processing, and roasting.

بالتفصيل

Uniformity is scored at 2 points per matching cup, for a maximum of 10. If one cup in a set tastes notably different — perhaps more fermented, flatter, or more astringent — uniformity points are deducted for that cup. Inconsistency often traces to uneven cherry ripeness, mixed lot blending, or variable fermentation conditions. In competition settings, even a single non-uniform cup can drop a score below qualifying thresholds.
