Jamaica is famous for Blue Mountain coffee, one of the most expensive and sought-after coffees in the world. The Blue Mountain growing region, legally defined between 910 and 1,700 meters in the parishes of Portland, St. Andrew, St. Thomas, and St. Mary, produces a strictly regulated crop certified by the Coffee Industry Board. Jamaica Blue Mountain is prized for its exceptionally smooth body, mild acidity, and clean sweet flavor with almost no bitterness.
