About
Geisha (also spelled Gesha) originated near the town of Gesha in southwestern Ethiopia and was collected in the 1930s. It gained worldwide fame in 2004 when Hacienda La Esmeralda in Panama's Boquete region won the Best of Panama auction with a Geisha lot. The variety produces extraordinarily aromatic cups with jasmine-like florals, bergamot citrus, tropical fruit, and tea-like delicacy. Geisha commands the highest prices in specialty coffee.
