Indonesia is a major coffee producer with distinctive regional profiles from Sumatra, Java, Sulawesi, Bali, and Flores. The unique wet-hulled (Giling Basah) processing method used in Sumatra creates the earthy, herbal, and full-bodied character that defines Indonesian coffee. The archipelago produces both Arabica and Robusta, with Arabica concentrated in highland volcanic regions.
