Sobre

Huehuetenango is Guatemala's highest and most remote non-volcanic coffee region, located in the northwestern highlands near the Mexican border. Hot, dry winds flowing from Mexico's Tehuantepec plain protect the region from frost, enabling coffee cultivation at extreme altitudes exceeding 2,000 meters. Huehuetanango coffees are distinctive for their vibrant, wine-like acidity, complex fruit notes ranging from stone fruit to tropical, and a sweet floral finish. The region's limestone-rich soils contribute to a bright mineral quality in the cup. Many of Guatemala's Cup of Excellence winners originate from Huehuetenango, cementing its reputation as the country's finest specialty origin.
