The Kalita Wave is a flat-bottom pour-over dripper from Japan with three small drainage holes, designed to promote even extraction. Its patented wave filters minimize contact between the paper and the brewer walls, creating an insulating air pocket. This design makes the Wave more forgiving than the V60, producing a balanced, sweet cup with a consistent extraction. The flat bed encourages uniform water flow and is favored for its reliability.
