The country's high elevations (1,400-2,000m), volcanic soils, and government-supported washing station infrastructure produce coffees with bright citric acidity, silky body, and distinct red fruit and floral notes. Rwanda's fully washed Bourbon coffees from regions like Nyamasheke and Huye regularly score above 85 points.
