Nicaragua is a rising star in specialty coffee, with production concentrated in the northern highlands of Jinotega, Matagalpa, and Nueva Segovia. Volcanic soils and elevations reaching 1,500 meters create optimal growing conditions. Nicaraguan coffees offer a balanced cup with bright citric acidity, medium body, and flavor notes of honey, stone fruit, and dark chocolate.
